Answers to Your Questions
Where will you meet my child?
We meet with children on their school campus, at home, in a local library, or wherever is most convenient for your family. Our goal is to create a comfortable and accessible environment that supports your child’s success.
How will you help my child with reading struggles?
We start by identifying your child’s specific needs through screening or assessment. Then we provide targeted, research-based instruction that focuses on the foundational skills your child needs to become a confident reader—like phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension. We tailor our approach to how your child learns best and collaborate with you and their teachers to ensure consistent support.
Why should I get my child screened or assessed for dyslexia?
Early screening or assessment can help identify whether your child is at risk for dyslexia, which allows for timely and targeted support. Families often seek screening when they notice their child struggling with reading or when they're considering a full diagnostic assessment. Schools may use this information to organize effective intervention groups or create Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs). By identifying challenges early, we can partner with you and your child’s educators to ensure they get the support they need to succeed.
How will you help my child diagnosed with an NLD (Nonverbal Learning Disorder)?
We take a strengths-based, individualized approach to support children with NLD. This might include helping your child build skills in areas like reading comprehension, organization, social understanding, and executive functioning. We break tasks into manageable steps, teach strategies explicitly, and provide consistent structure and encouragement. We also work closely with you and your child’s teachers to ensure strategies are reinforced across settings for the greatest impact.
